Yesterday we spoke with an agency owner who provides web design, web development, and web hosting services. His web design agency serves a sector where compliance and lawsuit considerations make annual and even bi-annual audits a virtual requirement.
This agency owner reached out to us about a potential partnership for accessibility audit services. The twist is this agency had already partnered with a well-known digital accessibility company to supply audits for their clients. However, they were displeased with the current state of the relationship and among the primary problems was cost.
Accessibility audits (sometimes referred to as ADA compliance audits) are already expensive as they start at low 4-figures, but some companies tack on a significant markup that can even make corporations with large budgets uneasy about the cost.
I told the owner that Accessible.org audit prices are commiserate with the amount of work involved and that we openly publish our price ranges so that prospective clients can get a good estimate on how much their project will cost before they ever join us on a Zoom call. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a small business or a Fortune 500 company, our services stay the same and so do our prices. And by the way, on our audits you’re looking at $250 – $350 per page.
Cost was only one of the reasons that led this agency owner to our contact form; there were multiple other reasons why the current relationship had frayed. But this marks a great opening for Accessible.org as we continue to grow.

As for this potential partnership, we’re working on a sample audit for one of the client websites right now. As soon as we finish we’ll send that over to the agency owner and hopefully land a really nice partnership.
