Our new Accessibility Tracker software doesn’t automate auditing your website or other digital asset, but instead streamlines accessibility by efficiently and effectively organizing your audit results as your team remediates issues and a third-party (such as Accessible) validates the fixes.

This means you can monitor your accessibility progress over time. Let’s illustrate what’s happening here:

  1. A digital accessibility company delivers your completed audit report.
  2. You upload that report (spreadsheet) to Accessibility Tracker.
  3. The report is now taken from spreadsheet form to inside your online dashboard.
  4. You can assign different team members to the report and give them access.
  5. You sort the issues by one of our two prioritization formulas (risk or impact.
  6. Your team starts fixing issues and checks them as fixed.
  7. Your auditor validates that issues are fixed so they are now completed. If not fixed, the auditor will make notations inside the app.

Prioritization

One request clients frequently asked about was prioritization: what accessibility issues should we work on first?

Of course, the accessibility industry has proffered sorting by Level A and AA success criteria or designating issues as high, medium, or low, but this extremely basic when it comes to ordering issues so we assigned a score for each success criteria based on two prioritization formulas:

  1. Risk Formula – Prioritizes issues based on real lawsuit data, focusing on the accessibility issues most commonly claimed in ADA website litigation. This approach helps you minimize legal risk while improving accessibility.
  2. Impact Formula – Uses our 100-point weighted scoring system to identify which issues create the most significant barriers for users with disabilities, considering factors like:
    • Whether the issue completely blocks access (35 points)
    • If workarounds are possible (25 points)
    • How many users are affected (15 points)
    • The criticality of the affected functionality (10 points)
    • How frequently the issue occurs (15 points)

This infuses much more intelligence and precision when it comes to prioritizing issues.

Real Monthly Reports

You’ll hear a lot about maintenance and monitoring and monthly reports, but this talk is usually based around scan results. Automated scans only capture 25% of WCAG issues so those reports are so skewed, they’re almost worthless. In contrast, our monthly reports are based on your actual, (manual) audit.

Whether you get your audit through us or another provider, your tracking and monitoring will be based on actual progress of your complete audit report, not scan results.

These reports become part of your compliance documentation and create a clear record of your organization’s commitment to accessibility. For organizations working through ADA lawsuits or settlement agreements, this documentation demonstrates tangible progress toward conformance.
