Accessibility in the News: New ADA Title II Web Accessibility Rule

The new ADA Title II web rule is set to significantly impact both public and private sectors, mandating state and local governments to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards for digital accessibility. ADA Title II Compliance

As the IAAP LinkedIn post highlights, WCAG 2.1 AA training is now essential for state and local governments as they work towards compliance with the new web accessibility rule. Training is so important because public entities need to understand the technical aspects of accessibility so they can reach and then maintain WCAG 2.1 AA conformance ahead of their respective compliance deadlines.

And not only will public entities need to develop an understanding and proficiency of WCAG 2.1 AA, but the private sector will need to rapidly educate themselves and adapt to ever increasing demands for accessible products and services as well as procurement requests for VPATs / ACRs.

The press release promotes our WCAG Course, which is designed to have everything both public and private entities need, from detailed lessons that completely explain every single WCAG 2.1 AA success criterion (requirement) to course supplements including quick references, cheatsheets, and Excel spreadsheet checklists.

Thanks

Thanks very much to the IAAP for sharing our press release.
