The Accessibility Tracker platform now fills in your VPAT using Tracker AI, turning what used to be hours of manual work into seconds of automated generation. Upload your audit report, update issue statuses, enter your details, and the platform automatically fills in your VPAT.
| Step | What Happens |
|---|---|
| Upload Audit Report | Your Excel spreadsheet audit data gets extracted and organized in the dashboard |
| Update Issue Status | Validated issues will not show as “Does Not Support” in your generated VPAT |
| Enter VPAT Details | Product name, contact info, scope, evaluation methods, and WCAG standard selection |
| Generate with AI | Tracker AI populates the entire accessibility table with conformance levels and remarks |
| Manual Review | You review the draft, make any edits, then sign off to create your ACR |
| Export or Publish | Download in Word format or publish online with a shareable link |
How Does the AI VPAT Generator Work?
The workflow starts with your accessibility audit report. This is the foundation. The platform extracts all issue data from your Excel spreadsheet, including WCAG success criteria, issue descriptions, applicable code, and recommended fixes.
Once uploaded, your audit becomes dynamic. You can track remediation progress, assign issues to team members, and update the status of each issue as your team works through fixes. This is where the VPAT generation gets interesting.
When you generate a VPAT, Tracker AI analyzes your current audit status. Issues marked as validated will not cause a success criterion to show as “Does Not Support.” The more issues you remediate and validate before generating, the cleaner your ACR will be.
What Information Do You Enter?
The platform prompts you for the details section of the VPAT. You enter company name, product name, version, and product description. Contact information goes in next.
The scope gets extracted automatically from your audit report. You can add pages, screens, or views if anything is missing. Notes are optional. Legal disclaimer is optional.
For WCAG standard, you select 2.0, 2.1, or 2.2 AA. Evaluation methods include checkboxes for screen reader testing with JAWS, screen reader testing with VoiceOver, keyboard testing, visual inspection, code inspection, and others.
What Does the AI Generate?
Tracker AI fills in the entire accessibility table. For each WCAG success criterion, it determines the conformance level based on your audit data. Criteria with validated issues show as “Supports.” Criteria with outstanding issues show as “Does Not Support” or “Partially Supports.”
The remarks and explanations column gets populated automatically. For criteria that support, the software writes “No issues were identified for this criterion.” For criteria that do not support, it provides specific details about the issues present.
The draft appears in your dashboard within seconds. You can view the complete accessibility table filled out from top to bottom.
Why Manual Review is Essential
This is hybrid automation at work. AI automates the initial layer. Human review provides the final layer.
AI can make errors and omissions. The remarks might need adjustment. A conformance level might need changing. You might want to add context that the software missed.
The platform includes an edit function for exactly this reason. You can change any conformance level. You can modify any remarks and explanations. Everything is editable inside the dashboard before you finalize.
Once you review and confirm accuracy, you sign the acknowledgement. This step requires you to verify that you have manually reviewed the AI-generated VPAT and that everything is accurate and complete. Then it becomes an Accessibility Conformance Report.
How Do You Share the Final ACR?
Two options exist for your completed ACR. Download it in Microsoft Word format for offline distribution. Or publish it online and get a shareable link.
The online version displays in HTML format with the same structure as the Word document. Details section, accessibility table, terms, legal disclaimer. Everything transfers.
Organizations that need to provide ACRs to procurement teams or buyers can generate the link and share it directly. The format follows standard VPAT structure that compliance teams expect.
Why Audit-Based Tracking Matters for VPAT Generation
The Tracker platform is audit-based. This is fundamentally different from scan-based software that dominates the market.
Scans can only reliably flag 13% of WCAG 2.2 AA success criteria. Using scan results to fill in a VPAT means working from incomplete data. The conformance scoring would be inaccurate. The remarks would miss issues that scans cannot detect.
Working from a complete audit report means your VPAT reflects actual accessibility status. The monitoring and tracking you do in the dashboard corresponds to real WCAG conformance progress. When Tracker AI generates your VPAT, it has access to complete information about every issue identified through screen reader testing, keyboard testing, code inspection, and other manual evaluation methods.
Who Benefits Most from AI VPAT Generation?
Organizations that produce multiple ACRs see the largest time savings. Large companies with dozens of products and services that all need documentation can generate VPATs at scale. Accessibility teams that manage ACRs across wide product portfolios can automate the tedious parts of the workflow.
Accessibility companies that issue ACRs to clients can pass on efficiency gains. The scoring and conformance determinations happen automatically. The remarks and explanations populate without manual transcription from audit report to VPAT.
Even organizations that only need one ACR benefit. Filling in a VPAT manually takes hours. The process involves carrying audit results from the spreadsheet into the VPAT format field by field. This is not a copy and paste job. With Tracker AI, that same work takes seconds.
What Editions Are Available?
The WCAG edition of the VPAT is available now. Section 508, EU, and INT editions are in development for 2026. The tools and workflow will follow the same general pattern and will fill in accessibility tables with WCAG success criteria.
Getting Started with AI VPAT Generation
Any paid plan on Accessibility Tracker includes access to the AI VPAT generator. Plans start at $19 per month. Upload your accessibility audit report in Excel spreadsheet format from any provider. The platform works with audits from Accessible.org or any other accessibility company.
The dashboard extracts your audit data. You track remediation progress. When you are ready, you generate your VPAT. Tracker AI fills in the accessibility table. You review, edit if needed, sign off, and export your ACR.
The entire workflow happens inside one platform. No switching between spreadsheets and document templates. No manual transcription of issue data into conformance remarks. The software handles the repetitive documentation work so you can focus on actual accessibility improvements.
