Major AI Breakthrough in Accessibility Compliance: VPATs Now Automated in 2026

AI can now fill in your VPAT in seconds with an audit report.

Accessible.org Labs has a brand new (and big) feather in our cap — we just released a new feature inside of the Accessibility Tracker platform that enables users to auto generate a VPAT using AI.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Upload your audit report
  2. Fix and validate any issues
  3. Generate a VPAT
  4. Manually review the VPAT
  5. Publish the ACR

It’s real and it’s ready to use inside of Accessibility Tracker.

All free plans have access to this feature.

Tracker is our platform that streamlines the remediation phase of any digital accessibility project. Accessibility Tracker is an audit-based platform so this means you can accurately track progress for full WCAG conformance (as opposed to scan-based platforms which only track issues that scans flag).

How Tracker AI Works

The system works by analyzing the structured data in your accessibility audit report. When you upload a report to Tracker, it extracts all the relevant details — issue descriptions, affected WCAG criteria, code snippets, user impact notes, recommended fixes, and any screenshots or recordings you’ve included.

The AI takes this information and maps it to the appropriate sections of the VPAT. Issues get grouped by their associated success criteria. Conformance levels are set based on whether issues have been validated as fixed. The remarks and explanations column gets populated with specific details about what was found and how it impacts users.

What makes this particularly useful is that the VPAT updates as you make progress on remediation. Fix some issues and mark them as validated in Tracker, then regenerate the VPAT — those criteria will now show improved conformance levels. You’re working from live project data rather than trying to manually sync a static document with your current status.

Manual Review

The AI generates a complete draft, but you’ll want to review it before publishing. Check that conformance levels make sense given your project scope. Make sure the remarks accurately represent the issues. Add any additional context that might be helpful for whoever’s reading the ACR.

The editing interface is straightforward — you can adjust conformance levels, rewrite or refine remarks, and modify any section of the VPAT directly in the dashboard. Once you’re satisfied with the accuracy and completeness, you can publish it as an ACR in either Word format or as an HTML page with a shareable link.

Looking Ahead

Right now this works for the WCAG edition of the VPAT. We’re planning to add support for Section 508 and EN 301 549 editions as well. Beyond different VPAT formats, we’re exploring other ways AI can support accessibility work within the platform — but this release gives you a solid foundation to work from today.

If you’re already using Accessibility Tracker, the feature is available in your account now. If you’re curious about the platform, you can learn more at accessibilitytracker.com.
